There are two types of resolution, image resolution that is determined when you take a photo or scan your photo and the anther one is printer resolution that one you can adjusted when you print.
Resolution is a key consideration when choosing a photo scanner. The resolution is the number of pixels the scanner is able to copy. Higher resolution equals better scan and quality. A higher resolution scanner will also catch more detail. The resolution is often noted on the photo scanner as dots per inch or DPI.
The fewer pixels per inch the lower the resolution, the more you can see the individual pixels. The more pixels per inch the harder it is to see the pixels .That will give you a better photo .So with that in mind when you adjust a photo .Your original digital image has a fix number of pixels .when you make it larger you still have that same number of pixels. That is spread over a much larger area. Your photo will not look very good at all. So try to have as many pixels as you can.


If your image is not as sharp as it could be. Like the pixels are showing in your image or the contrast is not very good you are having problems with the resolution. Resolution affects digital image with a digital camera or scanning it. The more you know about resolution the better photos you will create. Resolution is the total amount of information your scanner has or computer has.
If your photo has low resolution some of the software have an image editing feature that is ailed resambling. The resambling editing is used to add pixels .So you can enlarge your image or delete pixels to shrink it this will help your image a great deal. When you resambling it will not affect the quality of the photo it will help it.
The idea image resolution is 300dpi. Printers have setting of 600to 1440dpi. Printer resolution image are not the same as image resolution. Print resolution is the way the printer put the ink on the paper. Inkjet printers have a nozzle that put the tiny droplets of ink on your paper.


There is lots of printing software, explor the different options that are available in your print dialog box, you can figure out which one to choose between. The higher print resolution you have it will give a better results. It will slow down your printer and it will take more ink. On the other hand the Draft setting will print slower and use less ink and it will give you a good photo.

Try a printer resolution that has 720dpi is ideal photo quantity. The flatbed scanner resolution is described by the number .The better quality of a scanner you have the better photo you will get. The High printer resolution improves the printer’s ability to render detail .so you should look for a printer that has at least 1440 x720dpi. That will give you a true photo quality.
